Completed comprehensive higher surgical training across South West England, Sydney (Australia), and Kent, Surrey and Sussex, gaining extensive experience in open, laparoscopic, and complex upper GI procedures.
He is also trained in Robotic Surgery and is one of four consultants in Torbay currently performing these procedures, delivering excellent patient outcomes.

Graduated in medicine from one of the UK's most respected medical schools, laying the foundation for a career dedicated to surgical excellence.
BACKGROUND
Beyond the Operating Theatre
He attended medical school before completing foundation training in South West England, followed by a period of training in Sydney, Australia. He then returned to the UK to undertake core surgical training in South West England and higher surgical training in South East England. During this time, he conducted doctoral research into novel anti-cancer therapies, leading to the award of an MD in Clinical and Experimental Medicine from the University of Surrey, for which he was awarded a prize. He subsequently achieved FRCS (Eng) with the Royal College of Surgeons of England and was appointed to a prestigious RCS England clinical fellowship in benign oesophagogastric surgery, prior to his appointment as a Consultant Upper GI Surgeon at Torbay Hospital.
He has sat on the national council for the British Benign Upper GI Surgical Society. He is focused on the training of tomorrow’s surgeons and is the RCS Eng College Tutor, ensuring high standards of training for resident doctors at Torbay Hospital.
